Lovely hotel with a nice atrium as you enter. Hotel staff answered my call and provided us with the door access code for a smooth arrival. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean, and the fan and air conditioning kept us cool in the hot weather. Thank you for the experience, and Ill be sure to stay here again if I ever come back to Ballarat. Also, prices are reasonable. Also, the complimentary breakfast was very thoughtful and tasty!
REASONABLE HOTEL ON LYDIARD STThis hotel was a bit run down and and dirty but with a recent change of ownership things have improved. The rooms are not large but they are comfortable and the hotel, although on one of Ballarat's main streets doesn't suffer from street noise. Service is good. It's a good choice if you want better than "standard" but don't want to pay for "deluxe" at Craigs Royal Hotel just down the road (more expensive but worth the money!)

Great value. Undergoing renovations in a couple of areas but that's not a problem. Excellent central location, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and return.
