Very basic motel. Furnishings are in dire need of replacing. Bed was comfortable. Its major saving grace is the proximity to the main street for shopping and restaurants. Staff are sometimes grumpy when busy.
Definitely a motel. Bed and towels were clean but decor is very shabby. Large tv was nice. Fine if all you want is a bed for the night.
we stayed in this lovely motel for 4 days it was clean and lovely bath towels,bathroom a bit tired looking but that's half the charm of staying in the central of Ballarat, it's only 11 minutes walk to hospital ,reception staff are very helpful and friendly if we go back to Ballarat will definitely be staying here again .
We had our wedding reception at Mid City and it was fantastic. Emma Prince, Food and Beverage Manager was excellent as the point of contact. Ensuring everything was organised and exactly how we requested. The team on the night was highly professional and a delightful experience for us and our guests. Some of our guests stayed at Mid City aswell as we did. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Ballarat and destination is in town. Easy to walk to all amenities. Also a great place to hold any functions.
I recently visited Ballarat for business and had the good fortune to be recommended the Mid City hotel as a good place to stay -thank goodness I took their advice! They were terrific! Not only was the room clean and comfortable, but no request was too much effort, and they even started their breakfast shift early to accommodate the large number of workers who were staying their - never heard of a hotel being flexible to suit their guests before! Normally you have to fit in with the hotel. I will be returning to Ballarat early next year and I will once again be booking the Mid-City. Nice people, great location and superb value!
