LARGE REGIONAL PUBLIC HOSPITAL WHICH OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF SERVICESBallarat Health Services is anchored by the hospital and does well for the resourcing it receives. There have been major building upgrades from the (almost Dickensian) wards of the 1970's to today's much more modern facility. It competes (successfully) with private hospitals in the town and is well connected to universities and training institutions.
If I could give a zero out of 5 that is what I would give. Appalling treatment by the radiologists and emergency department . After the radiologists changed their mri findings twice which resulted in me receiving no specialist review I have now had to seek a second opinion elsewhere at huge cost to myself. It appears that if you are a single female ,over 50 with no family you have no place in this world with this hospital.
Beautiful hospital to walk into. Volunteers to greet you as you enter letting you know where you need to go. All staff are happy friendly that i encountered. Explained clearly what was to happen
l have been in the hospital on at least 4 occasions for surgery over the last 10 years and the nurses have been fantastic. All Staff have treated me with respect and top care. Doctors explain everything they are going to do as well. Thank you to all for caring about the people you look after
