Great cakes, coffee and cheerful staff.

Nice atmosphere but that's about it. My experience here was not a great one unfortunately. My Dad ordered a chicken pie with salad on the side, I ordered a cheese and tomato croissant, and we each ordered a cappuccino. First the coffee came out, nice flavour but it was luke warm, kind of like you'd expect a baby bottle to be, maybe colder. My croissant came out a few minutes later, that was nice but I do think a slice of ham would have been nice for the price I paid. Another few minutes passed and my dads pie arrived. He cut into it and had a mouthful to find it was stone cold in the middle. It was like it was still defrosting. He took it back to the counter and told the young girl who took it without apology and said she will bring another out. 25 minutes later another one was brought out, thankfully it was hot this time. All together this experience cost us nearly $40 dollars, $18.50 of it was for a half cold pie and salad. We could have bought the same 4 items at a Cafe down the road for the price of the pie alone. Bad service and highly overpriced food. Will not be returning.
This place is a gem. They do coffee well, they do cakes well and they do savoury treats very well also. The team are very welcoming and they always seem to have space no matter how small it appears.Whilst it is a part of the Art Gallery, it's worth going to without the visit to the gallery itself.
Good coffee, cozy vibe and lovely staff. A good spot to pick up a takeaway coffee to take to the movies across the road. Plus lots of little gifty things to buy, which I will be taking advantage of for Christmas!
