Waited over 3.5 hours only to get pretty much ignored and rushed out the door... Ended up in hospital later that week with a problem that should have been identified by the GP at Eureka. Have had family members and friends experience similar wait times and careless treatment every time they go. This clinic needs more doctors so that the standard 10 minutes appointment time can be honoured, with less waiting time and more compassionate treatment. As I pay the Medicare levy, I am entitled to this much at least.
Be prepared to wait an hour and a half at least. Personal service was polite and caring, but surely Ballarat could do with another bulk billing option A reputation of such lengthy wait times is far from ideal.
December 29 2018. I arrived at the clinic before 1pm and at 3.30 pm was told that there are 7 people in front of me. Having one or two Doctors on duty at a major clinic on a standard week day (even in the Christmas/New Year period) is reprehensible at best and displays a complete disregard for patient care. Not nearly good enough .
Never coming back here thats for sure. I totally understand that sometimes it gets busy and you have to sit and wait for a while but its diffrrent when you have been sitting here for 3/4 hours and other people are being seen 5 minutes after they get here. Went up to the front desk about a hour ago and they told me that I was next in line but 5 other people have been called in??... what a joke!!
I cannot praise the Eureka Medical Clinic highly enough. Such a big and busy clinic and they all do their best to service everyone as best they can in the best way possible. From a personal experience I have always found the service impeccable. I am currently going through an incredibly traumatic time and the clinic, particularly the gorgeous Jayne on reception and Dr Choong have treated me with the utmost care, empathy and compassion. Thank you so much, youve made an incredibly difficult time a great deal easier for me. Sam
